Erika Martinez
Third Grade Teacher
Erika recently moved to Pickerington from West Virginia with her husband and two daughters, and she is excited to begin this new chapter as the third-grade teacher at Agape Life Christian Academy. With more than 10 years of experience working with children of all ages, from toddlers through high school students, Erika brings a caring heart, a strong commitment to children, and a passion for helping each student learn, grow, and reach their God-given potential.
Throughout her career, Erika has served children and families in a variety of meaningful roles. She has worked as a therapist supporting children with Autism in school settings, has experience teaching, and has also worked closely with high school students. Erika has a special heart for children who have faced difficult upbringings or challenging circumstances, and she desires to be a steady, loving, and encouraging presence in their lives. These experiences have given her a deep understanding of each child's unique needs and strengthened her desire to create a classroom where every student feels seen, supported, encouraged, and loved.
Erika’s faith, family, and love for children are at the heart of all she does. She believes education is not only about academic growth, but also about nurturing character, confidence, and a love for God. Above all, Erika desires to teach with the heart of God—showing patience, grace, compassion, and truth in the classroom each day. Her goal is to create a Christ-centered environment where students are challenged academically, cared for personally, and encouraged to grow socially and spiritually.
Erika is honored to partner with families throughout the school year and looks forward to helping her third-grade students build a strong foundation for learning, faith, and life.
