Angie Lashley

Fifth Grade Teacher

Angie Lashley brings an incredible depth of experience, compassion, and dedication to her role as the 5th-grade teacher at Agape Life Christian Academy. A lifelong Pickerington resident, Angie grew up in the community and completed her own education through Pickerington schools. She and her husband now enjoy this season of life with their two adult children.

After 35 years of teaching in the public school setting, Angie retired from full-time public education two years ago. Throughout her career, she taught third and fourth grade, served students in special education across grades K–6, and worked as an intervention specialist. Her many years in the classroom have given her extensive experience supporting students with a wide range of academic abilities and learning needs.

In addition to her classroom experience, Angie has worked as a private tutor for several years and is an Orton-Gillingham Certified Practitioner, providing her with specialized training to support students who demonstrate signs of dyslexia and other reading challenges. She is passionate about helping students recognize their strengths, overcome obstacles, and experience the confidence that comes from meaningful academic growth.

Angie’s heart for children has also been deeply connected to her faith. While raising her own children, she served as a Sunday school teacher for a variety of grade levels and spent many summers teaching Vacation Bible School. Those experiences allowed her to invest in children not only academically, but also spiritually.

Angie believes God has given her a lifelong calling to teach and encourage children. After retiring, she sensed that God was not finished using her gifts in education, and she is grateful for the opportunity to bring together her years of professional teaching experience and her love for Christian ministry at Agape Life Christian Academy.
