Allison McMenamin

2nd Grade Teacher

Allison and her husband, Brad, have been married for over 30 years and have raised two children, Collin and Delaney. In September 2024, they were blessed to welcome a beautiful daughter-in-law, Carolanne, into their family. They also share custody of their grand dog, Jager, a 115 lb. Dutch Shepherd who believes he’s a lap dog and adores his "Grammy." When Allison isn't teaching, she enjoys Pilates and browsing Pinterest for creative inspiration.

With 31 years of dedication to Christian education, Allison has taught a variety of grade levels at Liberty Christian Academy, including high school electives, second grade, and first grade. She also spent two years at Abeka Book Video School while completing her master’s degree in educational administration. Her father, Walt Dahnke, worked for Abeka Book Homeschool for 17 years, building a long-term, well-respected relationship with the company.

Allison’s passion for Christian education was shaped by her own experience in church schools, where her father served as principal for all twelve years of her education. Her desire to teach biblical values, instill God’s word, and make a Christ-centered impact led her to pursue a career in teaching.

In the classroom, Allison fosters an enthusiastic, loving, and inviting atmosphere that inspires students to become creative thinkers and independent learners. She tailors her lessons to meet each child's unique learning style, ensuring academic success while also nurturing spiritual growth.

Allison is excited to serve alongside the ALCA team and families. Her heart for the Lord, her deep commitment to Christian education, and her expertise with the Abeka curriculum will be an asset to both her classroom and the school community.
